In 2016 the former Congregational Church on Hancock Avenue was donated to the Friends of Soldiers Memorial Library (FoSML), a 501c3 charitable organization, with the intention that it should be used to support the Library and offer public events for the community.
After many renovations and upgrades, with gratitude to the hard work of volunteers, the Friends are pleased to offer this beautiful building, now known as the Arts Center at 8 Hancock Avenue, to the community.

The Arts Center offers classes, concerts, art shows, presentations, meeting space, and facility rentals.  The Center is perfect for family functions, "country" weddings, retirement and birthday parties, and other events .
